Kaplan International Colleges has just launched the Kaplan Talent Awards and is holding a contest to find their best student photographer. And, fans of Kaplan’s Facebook page are being given the opportunity to judge the contest and vote on a series of photographs. The school will pick one winning photographer and one winning judge and these winners will both win a free two week English course at any Kaplan English Language school. They have English language schools in some of the world’s most desirable locations such as London, New York, Sydney and Singapore. The school here in New York City is inside the world famous Empire State building!
More than 1,000 student photos have been submitted over the past month and 30 have made the final cut. Everyone stands a chance of winning the experience of a lifetime, and everyone at Kaplan is excited to be offering this opportunity. Their Social Media Manager, Robert Pickstone, explained that “For a long time now, we’ve been impressed and inspired by the talent displayed by our students. Their photography skills are fantastic.” Kaplan wanted to recognize and reward their students, while also involving their Facebook fans. This lead to the current contest

Junior Programs for Teens Show Record Breaking Interest!
Apr 8th
It was not surprising to me when I heard that Kaplan International Colleges announced a growing interest in their 2013 junior English courses. Teenagers looking to study English this summer need to hurry because the Kaplan English courses for teens are filling up quickly. The international language chain reported that visits to the juniors section on their website have increased by more than a third compared to the same period last year and this growth coincides with the launch of K+ for Teens, an innovative range of blended learning materials aimed specifically at teenagers.
K+ for Teens is a range of materials, which include integrated books, apps, games and online platforms. The introduction of these technologies is transforming the way that teenage students learn English and enjoy their Kaplan experience.
According to Anna Robinson, Kaplan’s Junior Operations Manager for the UK & Ireland, the combination of state of the art materials and highly professional instructors is the key. The school has their own “bright and interesting materials professionally packaged with an exciting design.” These materials along with their excellent teachers, get students engaged and learning more quickly.
One junior student from Russia, Bayn Badmaeva, said: “The teachers are great and make the lessons really interesting. You make new friends all the time!”
Kaplan’s partners agree. Cecilia Quistani of TIJE Travel, an ISO 9001:2008 certified company said: “We have been working with Kaplan for almost 10 years; we notice their permanent updates and innovations that offer the best possible service to our students.” Having an ISO certified company means TIJE has to run satisfaction surveys among their customers and the results say that those customers who go to Kaplan are always satisfied.
If you are looking for a fun and exciting English learning experience, why not check out their new junior language school in England’s trendiest city, Brighton? Other UK destinations already include Bath, Bournemouth, Salisbury, Torquay and London Kingston.
